이슬람의 큰 가치 중 하나는 공동체이다. 움마(أمة)라고 하는 공동체는 무함마드가 가장 중요하게 생각하는 가치이다. 다란하우스는 이슬람 문화권의 외교관을 위한 주택으로, 외형은 알함브라의 궁전에서 모티브를 얻은 구조적이고 모던한 디자인을, 내부 공간은 건축물의 기능에 따라 화려한 공간을 갖는 이중구조를 가지고 있다. 외부적으로는 단일 공동체를 중요시하는 이슬람교를 보여주는 동시에 내부적으로는 개인의 가치를 중요시하는 문화를 담아냈다. 메카를 바라보고있는 아치를 지나가면 이슬람문화를 담아낸 정원이 펼쳐지고, 이는 새로운 문화로의 초대를 의미한다. 기도실을 가기위해 올라가는 계단은 정원을 돌아가며 우리에게는 익숙하지 않은 문화를 사색하게 한다.

The exterior of DAR:AN House has a structural and modern design inspired by the Alhambra palace, while the interior space has a dual structure with a colorful space. It shows Islam, which values a community externally, while also contains a culture that values individual values internally. Passing through the arch looking at Mecca, you will see a garden containing Islamic culture, which means an invitation to a new culture. The stairs leading up to the prayer room take us around the garden to explore a culture that we are not familiar with.
